Rock'n'Rule!i once read "he that think like a star, walk like a star, act like a star and dress like a star..someday soon will be "the" star! that was my quote for today! ive been compared to grace jones a few times and i admit.. -my first reaction weren really nice about it- in most cases i felt insulted and now i feel even worst for feeling like that at the time! As an up and cuming model...ive learnt to be open minded...and read things deeper than usual. And by doing that, i came to realise that grace jones is a strong character and a talented personnage. She is more than just a woman with man like... features! The look that she is known for {manly} is the look she gave herself. This was a decision she made and indeed a very clever one! i would even go and say it was a very marketable idea to give herself a status and category which is very rare and shocking to some but which makes others just love her. And its also the reason why now, she is in the history of mannequinat. This made me realise than in modelling i will have to give myself a status, a pedestral, a position which will seperate me from the rest! the WHOLE world wants to be a model today! and there will always be better, more talented, more successful, more edgy, taller, slimmer, or somebody better looking than you *told by auntie linda* therefor you need to do what ur implied or what you wish to do the best that you can and perform it in your most unique way! you sometimes have to go and be things your worried people will not like you to be but as long as its what you wish to be , then put your head up high and be "IT" because you only live once and you dnt live for others but yourself and God. In other words people that are famous and successful or even legendary today are people that looked outside the box, followed their heart, worked hard were determined and most importantly DARED TO BE DIFFERENT!
